The Valley Music Hall of Fame announces the creation of The Legacy Award,” a special award that the Executive Board of the Valley Music Hall of Fame can bestow on a musical performer, venue, promoter, producer, educator, or someone in a related field who may never be nominated for induction but who the Board feels should be recognized for their outstanding contributions to the music community.
The Legacy Award is different from regular induction in that VMHOF Board is solely responsible for selecting awardees, and presenting the award may not be an annual event.
That being said, the VMHOF Board is proud to announce that our 1st Legacy Award goes to the music venue that was the hub of the local social scene for two decades while playing a pivotal role in our musical culture and inspiring so many local musicians to pursue their dreams, The Wild Blue!
The award was presented to the legendary musician/operators of “The Wild Blue”, Bill & Jim Bixler, at the 2024 Induction Event on September 25th.
