In addition to creating a mechanism for honoring our local musical heritage, The Valley Music Hall of Fame hopes to give back to our community in creative, powerful ways that change lives through the development of two philanthropic endeavors: The Future Hall of Famers Scholarship program and the Music Medics Collaboration.
While still in its very early conceptualization stages, VMHOF plans to work with a panel of local music educators to develop a mechanism whereby promising students can receive financial support to continue their education, purchase instruments and/or participate in workshops and summer camps. This is a project we will be working on through the rest of this year with the hope of having something to announce in the Spring of 2021.
The second part of our vision for giving back to our community is the “MUSIC MEDICS” program. Our vision is to send professional musicians from our community into hospitals, memory care facilities, retirement communities, etc., to bring the healing power of music into the lives of others. We are very close to getting this program off the ground.
You can help us achieve our goals of paying respect to our musical history and giving back to our community with your financial support. In return you and/or your organization will be acknowledged in VMHOF publications and correspondence. You will also earn the heartfelt gratitude from those who benefit from your generosity.
