So here’s the deal: Come January, the core members of the Valley Music Hall of Fame Executive
Board will have been at this for seven years. During this time, we’ve cultivated a small but
dedicated group of sponsors, established our own 501.c3, qualified for Measure P funding and
held four successful induction events. It’s been quite a journey for a group of volunteers to take
an idea and transform it into a mechanism for honoring the incredibly rich musical heritage of
our community. And we think we’ve done a pretty good job of achieving this at the local level.
Now that we’ve laid the foundation, it’s time to take the next step toward our overall mission
of expanding our reach to recognize musical contributors from Merced to Bakersfield. To
accomplish this, we need some help. We’d like to add 3 to 4 new members who can bring
passion, energy, and some professional skillsets to our board.
There’s a wealth of musical talent out there, both past and present, that deserve to be honored
for the contributions they’ve made to our Valley’s musical culture. If the idea of being a part of
